Luke 14:21 Outreach Statement of Faith

Scripture: We believe that the Bible is God breathed inspired and without error in their original manuscripts (2 Tim 3:16).

God:  God is a spirit and because He is a spirit God is genderless. God Created the world in six literal 24 hour days. He is one God and yet He reveals Himself in three distinct persons. God works providentially in the affairs of men to bring about His purpose in our life (John 4:24 Gen 1:1-31, 1:2,26-27 Is 46:10).

Jesus Christ: Jesus is co-equal and co-eternal with Father God.  He was 100% human and is 100% divine. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of His people. God has chosen from the foundation of the world (John 10:30-33; 8:58 Philippians 2:5-11 Is 7:14 Luke 1:26-38 2 Cor 5:21 John 10:15,18;6:37 Eph 1:4 Matt 25:34 Romans 9:13-23).

Holy Spirit: The Spirit of God is the third person of the Trinity co-equal, co- divine with God the Father and God the Son. He is the creative power by which creation was brought into being. The spirit of God has roles both within the believer and the unbeliever. In the believer, He is the convictor of sin, comforter, gift giver, all gifts are recognized as operational in the church by the ministry. For the unbeliever, He is regenerator, convicts the world of righteousness and of good judgement (John 14:15-26, 16:5-15, Gen 1,2. Matthew 3:16; 28:19).

Man: Man, is the crown creation of God.  Man was created in the image of God. In this image, man was created to reflect God’s character of perfection, however because of man’s gift of freewill and their choice not to use it in the right way, sin and imperfection entered this world. It is the position of Luke 14:21 that the fall of mankind was not the original intention of God, but He has used it to bring about His good purposes (Gen.1:26-27; Gen.1:31; Gen. 3 :1-14; Romans 5:12; Gen. 50:2; Romans 8:28).

Salvation: Mankind is saved by Faith in Jesus Christ through Grace alone. It is not the action of mankind but the sole action of God and His free Grace and man’s Faith in Christ death on the cross at Calvary (Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).

Future of Mankind: Christ will return for those who place their Faith and trust in Him. He will take us Home to Heaven to be with Him forever to be where He is. There are two resurrections one for those who are going to Heaven with Christ for eternal life, and one for those who will stand before Him in judgement and be eternally condemned because of their rejection of Christ (John
